blindGram 4.0 moved the accessible Telegram client to 5.7.1
blindGram 4.0 Final came out on June 7, 2019 and moved the accessible Android Telegram client to Telegram 5.7.1, in a standard package and a Plus package.
This is an archived announcement from the blindGram channel. Version 4.0 was a keeping-up release: Telegram had moved on to 5.7.1, and blindGram followed, so blind users got the new Telegram features together with the accessibility work the fork adds on top.
Standard and Plus packages
Two APKs were posted, as with every release of that period. The standard package is blindGram itself. blindGram Plus is the same app under a second package name, so it installs next to blindGram and signs in with its own set of accounts. Both carried the same blindGram features. Plus was only for people who needed a second installation on one phone, and the blindGram Plus page explains how that still works.
