blindGram 10.0 Public Beta 2 widened Telegram 9.4.2 testing
blindGram 10.0 Public Beta 2 followed on February 12, 2023, a day after the restricted first beta, opening Telegram 9.4.2 testing to more screen reader users.
This is an archived beta announcement. Beta 1 had been for a small group and carried a clear do-not-install warning. A day later, Beta 2 was labelled a Public Beta: still a test build, still with the caution that problems could remain, but now meant for anyone willing to try the new Telegram base and report what they heard.
What "public beta" meant
- The build was open to everyone, not only the first testers.
- The warning stayed. Things could still break.
- The point was accessibility feedback on Telegram 9.4.2 from real use, so that the final would fit the way screen reader users actually read and move through chats.
What followed
Six days later, blindGram 10.1 Final shipped on the same base and made Telegram topics accessible, with finer reply and media settings. The first, restricted beta is at blindGram 10.0 Beta 1.
Betas are still posted in @blindGram_BETA2, and the current release is on the download page.
