blindGram 5.0 Added Faster Audio Controls and Changed Its Privacy Model
blindGram 5.0 Final, released on October 6, 2019, moved to Telegram 5.11.0 and introduced easier audio navigation alongside a major licensing and privacy change.
Accessibility changes
- Added a button for jumping to the first message in a conversation.
- Added rewind and fast-forward controls for voice messages and music.
- Allowed playback-speed changes by holding the fast-playback control.
- Restored text editing through TalkBack's local context menu.
- Fixed reported writing-field and navigation problems.
At release time, blindGram also became donation-supported and stopped checking licenses during sign-in. The announcement said phone numbers would no longer be sent to blindGram servers for license checks.
