# blindGram 10.1 made Telegram topics accessible to screen readers

blindGram 10.1 Final, released February 18, 2023 on Telegram 9.4.2, made forum topics usable with a screen reader and added finer reply, chat list, and media settings.

This is an archived release announcement. Moving to Telegram 9.4.2 brought forum topics, which split a large group into separate threads, along with other newer Telegram features that had only been tried in the two 10.0 betas the week before. 10.1 was the final that brought them to screen readers, including TalkBack, and it used the occasion to add several small choices about what you hear and how you move through audio.

### Topics and the new Telegram base

- Telegram topics and the other features of 9.4.2 were made accessible, so a group split into topics could be opened and read like any other chat.

### What you hear

- In a reply, you could now decide whether the name of the person being replied to is spoken at the end or before the quoted text. Today this is **Announce the reply sender before the reply text** under Announced with each message on the [Messages page](/docs/messages/).
- The chat list could read the whole last message instead of a short preview. Today it is **Read the whole last message in the chat list** on the [Chats page](/docs/chats/).

### Audio and media

- The rewind and fast-forward step could be set in seconds rather than as a share of the whole file. Today these are **Rewind/forward step amount (Second)** and **Rewind/forward by Second** on the [Media page](/docs/media/).
- You could stop the next music track from being downloaded automatically. Today that is the **Auto-Download and Play Next Music** switch.
- The Previous and Next buttons in the media viewer could be hidden. Today the row is **Show next and previous buttons in the media viewer**.

### Menu

- Copy Link could be removed from the message menu. Today the row is **Show Copy link in the message menu** on the [Menu page](/docs/menu/).

One more thing from the same day: on February 18, 2023, Telegram stopped sending SMS login codes to unofficial apps. If you are signing in to blindGram on a new phone, read [how to get a Telegram login code since 2023](/blog/2023-02-22/telegram-login-codes-unofficial-clients/). The betas that led to this release are [Beta 1](/blog/2023-02-11/blindgram-10-0-beta-1-telegram-9-4-2/) and [Public Beta 2](/blog/2023-02-12/blindgram-10-0-public-beta-2/), and today's app is on the [download page](/download/).
