# blindGram 9.1 makes reactions, shared media and video accessible

blindGram 9.1, released October 7, 2022 on Telegram 9.0.2, made reactions, group calls, downloads, shared media and video playback usable with a screen reader.

This is an archived announcement of the 9.1 Final release. 9.0 had put blindGram back on a current Telegram one week earlier; 9.1 is where the accessibility work caught up. It brought back blindGram features that had been lost in the migration and covered the big things Telegram had added during the gap, such as reactions.

### Reactions, calls and live streams

- Reacting to a message, and reading the reactions on one, works with a screen reader. Reactions can also open as a menu you walk through instead of a strip beside the message; today that switch is **Show Reactions As Menu** on the Menu page.
- Voice and video group chats and live streams are easier to follow.

### Media and downloads

- Downloads, shared photos and videos, the shared media screen and the video player are all accessible.

### Messages and the chat list

- You can mark a message to come back to later, and forward a message straight to Saved Messages from its menu.
- You can select every chat in the chat list at once.
- A new option hides emoji rendering.
- The message menu became customizable. Today the **Ordering menu items** screen decides which entries appear and in what order.

### Fixes

- Problems with notifications, translations, starting the app, and connecting to the license server were fixed.
